We are fortunate to own 350 acres of beautiful Sussex woodland where we live and Isenhurst, which Clive has developed over the last 10 years into a super shoot, makes the most fantastic training ground.

There are lakes, valleys, woodland rides, thick cover, open areas, beautiful heather, young plantations and mature woodland; all in all endless opportunities for training. We have also developed two training paddocks with jumping lanes which are ideal training grounds for young dogs to learn their first lessons.

Gundog Jumping

Every year local Gundog Societies hold training classes and working tests here. Throughout the spring and summer I run group training classes for dogs and their handlers at various levels - puppy, novice, intermediate and open. I also run special days aimed at Field Triallers and frequently have groups from both at home and from Europe book a couple of days with me which is great fun. One to one private lessons may often be the best option when starting and I will always  work out the best training programme to suit those who come training with me. Last year I offered a bottle of champagne to anyone who came training here regularly who won a Working Test - and I was delighted to give away 10 bottles and I hope I award at least as many this year!

For the last few years I have also been privileged to be invited to travel to Finland, Sweden, Germany and Austria and teach and judge there. I am a Kennel Club "B" panel retriever judge and during the shooting season I judge Retriebver Trials whilst in the summer I judge Working Tests.
